Danny Deng

Partner, Chef

Born and raised in Changsha, China and trained by culinary professionals, Chef Deng has worked tirelessly in the Canadian restaurant industry across multiple concepts and provinces but has called Metro Vancouver home for some time, working in some of the city’s top kitchens including M8 Bistro and Bar under the guidance of mentor and Top Chef Canada alum Chef Xin Mao.

As Executive Chef and Partner at House of Dawn, Danny brings his vision to life by blending Eastern and Western influences, crafting dishes that celebrate Asian flavours through a contemporary, artful approach.

Korbin Mountford

Bar Manager

Korbin is Richmond born and bred with a deep connection to the West Coast's vibrant hospitality scene. Starting his career in the beverage industry at 18, Korbin gained experience at notable Vancouver establishments like Black & Blue and The Parker Rooftop, honing his craft and passion for cocktail creation. Drawing inspiration from his travels and the region's diverse food culture, Korbin's innovative approach blends Asian fusion flavours with classic cocktail elements. At House of Dawn, he aims to create an immersive, welcoming atmosphere where each drink reflects both elegance and approachability, enhancing the overall guest experience with creative touches like smoke and fire.
